Unfortunately, this doesn't seem to work.  Thanks for trying.  Am I correct
to think that this can be done using a Mac?  If so, I might be getting mine
sooner than later.

Here's how to put music on an iPod manually. I assume the same steps would
work in Windows, though I don't know for certain because I don't have an
iPhone.

1. Select the tracks you want to copy.

2. Type control-C to copy them to the clipboard.

3. Focus on the iPod's name in the Source list, where Music, Podcasts, etc.
are listed.

4. Type Control-V to paste. If that doesn't work, choose Paste from the Edit
menu.
