Hello Christian, The SIM card tray is at the opposite end of the iPhone from the USB port. There's a tiny hole right next to it where you insert the extraction tool. The extraction tool is fixed inside the cover of the instruction booklet and it looks a bit like a tiny paperclip held in with a paper butterfly. You push the end of the extraction tool into the hole and the tray pops out.
