Hi all,a friend of mine who's not on this list, was playing with verbosity settings, and we found that if you go under list, and customise it so that the status isn't spoken, this will fix the problem of voiceover saying empty in the contacts table of Adium. So for those who were finding that to be annoying, there's a solution.
