Rechargeable batteries are best in applications where you would have to replace alkallines often. In this case, the keyboard is a low power device so alkalines are the best choice.

Hi. I am using Alkaline batteries and have been for four months now. Recently,
I took them out of the keyboard, just to find out how well charged they were,

can't know for sure, I can't help but wonder if rechargeable batteries wouldn't
discharge before the keyboard had a chance to run them down.

If Apple makes rechargeable batteries for this keyboard, then they probably
thought of this. Nevertheless, alkaline batteries are pretty cheap, and I
can't complain about their lifespan thus far.

Hi. I'm wondering if people get longer life using the Apple bluetooth
keyboard with standard alkaline batteries, or, with rechargeable ones.

Also, bargain basement brands vs the big name batteries?

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
