Command plus r only runs recovery, but command option plus r from what I understand runs the option for recovering without the recovery partition. And this, command plus option plus r is what I was looking at trying to run with VO. Sadly, though, as I took my Mac in to the apple Store Friday, they tell me that this is not possible with VO to run the, command plus option plus r with speech. Which is to bad, as if you wanted to recover back to the original shipping OS, those who can't see, or for those who rely on VO in particular, can't use that option.
