I'd also recommend making sure you interact with the text area and check that your cursors are following each other properly by navigating with VO and arrow keys. It's possible to navigate in TextEdit just using the arrow keys, but sometimes this means the VoiceOver cursor gets left behind somewhere. Having said all that, I haven't experienced your problem so I'm not exactly sure what's causing it, but hopefully these recommendations will help. Best, Nic
