My wife confirms that Messages works just fine on my iPhone five when he iOS 7.1 .1. However, when I attempt to turn voiceover on, the app freezes. Apparently, it continues to freeze even after turn voiceover back on, until I exit to the home screen.
I do not know if this is an accessibility issue, or something to do with the update. As I said before, Messages worked just fine up until early last evening, when it suddenly stopped working. I have done everything short of a reset, because I do not wish to lose my Wi-Fi, email, etc. settings.
