Hi Scott, you need the latest firmware for Bluetooth support of the Focus 40 on your Mac.
For the Focus 40 blue classic, the latest firmware is 4.59. For the newer Focus 40 blue (2012 and later) it is 4.93. You will need a Windows PC to do the firmware upgrade.
