Hello there
Actually, although it appears on the display as a question mark or a th sign,
VoiceOver actually says m dash or if you do it again it will say horizontal
bar. I think this is a bug in braille displaying.

My Braille Edge 40 actually converts two occurrences of double dash as the word
his. Go figure. That's even weirder.

When you go over it, does VO say horrizontal bar? If it does, I think you can
ignore the weirdness.
