Yes, you can just go into Voiceover preferences and uncheck the voice or voices you don't want to use with Voiceover, but if you've downloaded several voices, it still takes up space on your hard drive. If you permanently want to get rid of a voice, open your Macintosh HD on the desktop, go to system, then library, speech, voices, and you then can permanently delete a voice. HTH.
