Ok, two ways.

find the app on screen, double tap and hold until it makes the burble sound,
take finger off, wait a pause, it'll say Editing, I clicked left and right
so it told me again what app it was on, and it said double tap to delete.

So that's good as one way. I pressed the Home key to get out of that
editing mode.

Second, settings/general/useage, there's a button in there to show all
apps; use it. Then flick down for your app and double tap; there's size
details in there, and a delete button, so use that and it takes you back
to your app list.

This is good if you can't find which screen it is on.

Subject: Deleting an App on the iPhone 5 S

I have an App on my iphone 5 S I wish to delete. I find the App and hold it.
when I touch the screen with another finger, a double tap happens and the
App Opens. How do I delete an App on the iPhone 5 S? Thank you.
