The 'there is no excuse' game is counter productive. iOS 8 has now
been out a month and iOS apps are still being updated for it. A new OS X
will be no different. We as a whole are simply too caught up in instant
gratification. How in blazes did we ever survive the pre- Apple days?

Yosemite DP's has been available since the WWDC so nobody has any excuses for
their software not functioning as they should.
MOST software I have tested since DP 2 or so has been running smoothly. I have
experienced brief "outages" in functionality with some software, but all seems
to be ok again.

Who knows what 'very soon' means but you know, if a company sets a date and
then does not deliver by that date, they get trashed. And who knows why
Finereader is not ready for Yosemite but again, they surely have mnay irons in
the fire so really, must we get so irate when things do not go our way? We can
do better than they?
This is why I do not rush into installing the latest for it would only be ny
fault if things are broken.
