  ProTools doesn't have a lot to do with sound forge anyway. It is more 
comparable to sonar as both are midi and multitrack recorders. Sound forge is a 
two track recorder even though it has multitrack capabilities but it is not 
really multitrack, as you cannot listen to tracks while recording others. It is 
merely an editing and mastering tool. Cheers,

    This is great news! Since Sony has no plans to make a version of sound  
    forge for the Mac, and since I want to go into audio production work,  
    the fact that digidesign is making strides for pro tools to be  
    accessible is very inspiring.
