There should be no need to interact with the text field or at least I just 
tried it now and didn't need to. Do vo-space on "add shortcut" for the item you 
want to change. Then just do the combination right there. If there is already a 
combination there, of course you won't be able to press "add shortcut" but if 
you vo-right to the combination it should say the combination and "contents 
selected" and then you just do the combination you want right there.
