I have recently gotten new hearing aids, which come with an "Icom
streamer," which is a device for patching the audio of a device into
the hearing aids directly. However, after about five seconds of
inactivity, the Mac turns off its audio circuit, which causes the
streamer to beep madly for a second. Is there a way to fix this so
that the Macbook doesn't close down its audio circuit? I guess I
could just leave something on running at very low volume, but that
seems lugubrious. Is there a way to get around what I assume to be a
battery-saving feature?
Thanks for any suggestions. :)
