To enlarge on that for anybody who doesn't know - I didn't know until I tried 
it and then looked it up - you do cmd-c to copy the file or files  to the 
clipboard. Then do cmd-option-v at the location where you want the file(s) to 
move tfile(s) rather than just copy. I have learned my new thing for today.
