Unless things have changed, you should be able to get to fantastical from the application chooser. Do you know what that is? I'm not at my computer right now, I think it is VO plus F1 F1. Depending on your settings, you may also need to hold down the FN key. That is how I used to get to it once fantastical was hiding in the background.
