Hi,

the Airport Extreme Firewall is very easy to set up. Actually, by default, as
long as DHCP and NAT are enabled on your Extreme, the Firewall is automatically
enabled. If you need specific ports open that aren’t already open in the
default configuration, go into the Airport Utility, and into the Network pane
of your device. then go to the Ports area and press the Add button. The
Airport Utility Firewall has built-in choices such as File Sharing,
Web-Sharing, Print Sharing etc. By choosing any of these, the necessary ports
are auto-magically entered for you. If you need other ports that aren’t listed
in these basic ones, there’s a list of Apple commonly used TCP and UDP ports
available on the web. Just do a Google search for just that and you’ll find
the page. . Using those ports, you can open up any others that you feel
necessary. Really, for most situations, the ports automatically blocked by
your Extreme are good enough.
