Uh, what made you laugh? I don't see anything funny about anything I said. What am I missing?

Chris.

Lol Chris, that made me laugh!

Will this solution work, if I want to use the USB drive on computers I’m visiting? Say a friend or family member, or a public computer. Any tips there?

I did try True Crypt a while back, but found it confusing. Is this as easy as, plug the USB drive in, enter password, then I’m able to read/write to my files?

Thanks,
Traci

I think I heard about it, and it may be based on Truecrypt. If so, there likely isn't anything wrong with using it.

Awesome! And it is totally accessible on both platforms, Windows, and Mac?

If so, you're a lifesaver!

I'm definitely definitely going to Google this app, and see what I can come
up with. Thanks for the suggestion.

Chris.

VeraCrypt with the entire partition encrypted. It's open source software
and therefore is always being vetted for security holes.

Hi all, I have been googling on various options for having a cross platform secure USB drive. What do you recommend? If possible, I’d like a solution that utilizes my existing USB stick. Though, I’m open to purchasing a new USB drive with security built-in.

Thank you,
Traci
