Interesting article talks about the new tighter security which locks down more areas that most apps shouldn't be messing with. This hopefully makes the old "Repair Permissions" routine less commonly needed and the system will automagically purge stuff that shouldn't be there from certain folders. This should make it more difficult for malware, or just buggy software, from getting a toehold in the OS.
