Slight correction, Deezer does in fact have a mac client, look it up on
Applevis. It was the thing that prompted me to try it in the first place as
well as a promotion they ran in Poland in June. It’s a very simple app, but
that’s what makes it very good. 99% of it is all native OS X controls, the only
thing that’s a web view is your recommendation feed. The only thing that could
be a problem to some on this list is that, even though they’re available in I
think over a hundred countries, the US isn’t one of them. Well, sort of,
because if you’re in the US you can only sign up for Deezer if you got a Sonos
speaker and then you get their lossless flac plan. For everyone else, there’s a
free tear that gives you unlimited listening with some ads at 128KBPS, and the
mobile app will only let you start either your flow or artist mix, searching
for specific tracks is only possible on desktop IE the Mac app. Then you can
pay about 5 euros a month for premium that lets you listen at 320 kbps, you get
unlimited skipping, offline downloads and you can play your playlists and
search in the mobile app.
