I have run into PowerPoints which were nothing more than slideshows of giant bitmap images of text. Could be you've run into one of those. Are you sure there is actually text and not just a big picture of text on the slides?

Hello,
I am trying to read a power point file that is inaccessible. It is obviously
done with graphics or PDF because preview won’t work. I also tried keynote and
it did not recognize the text. I tried to open it through abbyy fine reader and
that did not work either. Any suggestions other than asking for sighted
assistance?
Thanks
Nancy
