How much memory can you get away with using on a macbook 2010? I read some place youcould run up to 16 gb in the macbook and everything would work fine, is this true?

O, Kayyy. That probably then explains why it behaved a little funky on my white macbook, as that poor thing only has 2GB. It runs fairly well on my macbook pro, and honestly, had it not been for all the Safari issues, I might would a considerred keeping it, but I just cannot be bothered with that stuff. Especially, being I'm travelling in barely under a month's time.

Hi Chris. Actually, anyone that has the version of Snow Leopard
that introduced the Mac App Store can run El Capitan. As for your
question about specs, Apple recommends that you run it with at
least 4 GB of ram. Sure, you can run it with 2, but you're
probably asking for trouble if you do. Meaning lagginess and what
    not.

Guys, I have a question about El Capitan.
I know that pretty well any system running back to, I think I
read somewhere, Mountain Lion, correct me if I'm wrong would run
El Capitan, but I'm curious about something. I know that would
be the minimum requirements, but what exactly are the suggested
hardware specs? Especially the amount of memory recommended. I
    have my reasons for asking.
    Chris.
