Hi Gabe, your friend is on the crack pipe, the battery life in the 6s and 6s+ is better than the 6 and 6+ I would say by about 10 to 20% or so.
Also, I would encourage you to reconsider the plus option. The extra real estate is nice for people with larger hands like myself and also there’s real optical stabilization of images instead of digital stabilization which can work a bit better for character recognition. (I’m willing to be corrected on that this is what I have heard) The 6S+ and 6S have far better cellular radios and work fantastically on the network as well as great WiFi support and the new processor makes things pop. I would go 6S+ if I were you but if you still don’t want the + definitely 6S.
