I didn't demand that the book be free. I just have a hope that they'd do guides or podcasts on Applevis for it. Some people don't like having to read through large chunks of information, some like listening to podcasts, and others just don't feel that knowledge that sighted people can ascertain from looking at videos and all for free, should cost almost as much as a video game, for blind people to use a free application. I know, if I don't like the price, find an alternative. But the sad truth is, there are no alternatives that I know of. I was embarrassed so much when I couldn't teach the instructor how to use pages more than doing basic formatting. It made me, and the whole Mac system, look even worse than it originally did to the assistant instructor. Now, the assistant "hates the Mac" and I couldn't do anything more to help sway his opinion.
