Hi Caitlyn,

That is in fact, what they had intended.  I figured that if the only difference 
was how it was cut, there should be no reason why it wouldn't just work on the 
phone, and then if I decide to get the OtterBox case, I'd have the right 
protector.  After a lot of fussing, that has turned out to be the case.  And I 
still think Speed Dots may want to include instructions for others who might 
want to do this.  It seems silly to me to buy one cover, and then have to go 
out and buy another if I get a case for my phone.  Anyway, it seems to be 
working now, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed. :)
