I think the double-tap and hold method to rename something only works on
an element. E.G: button, link, that kind of thing. Pictures don't seem
to stick with that method.
A good idea if it would work though!

what does work is to bring up the picture in TapTap See, have it
recognized and that will stay in your camera roll. It’s quite handy. I
don’t think you can change the descriptions but at least you have some
idea of what the picture is.
