I don’t like iBooks and rarely buy them. I prefer to buy from Kobo. The Kobo 
app works fine on my iPhone, less well on an iPad, and on the Mac, Adobe 
Digital Editions reads Kobo books. Adobe Digital Editions puts a folder in the 
Documents folder and the files have meaningful names. Also, Kobo books are 
usually cheaper than iBooks.
I prefer Kobo to Kindle since I can’t read Kindle books on my Mac.
