I’m having an issue and I have no idea what to look at next in the
trouble-shooting process.

I have a MacBook Pro, mid 2012. I am having problems with Amadeus Pro. I am
running the latest version of El Capitan and Amadeus Pro. the program will no
longer allow me to change formats of files, completely closing the instant I
select another format under save-as. The program also does not allow me to save
larger files, such as anything taking longer than about 5 minutes to record.

The SSD has plenty of space for said files, over 400gb. I’ve tried saving to
external sources as well.

I reinstalled Amadeus Pro and that did not change any of the behaviors.

Then I installed Amadeus Pro on my iMac, 2014. It works as it always has,
saving files in many formats without issue, allowing recording, editing and
saving of files up to 1 hour long, etc. The iMac is running the same version of
El Capitan and Amadeus Pro.

I did inherit the MacBook Pro but it had been so gently used that it ran great
until very recently. I’m wondering what else to check and if this is a symptom
of more issues with other programs. So far the other things I use, Fine Reader
Pro, Text Edit, Pages and Mail, plus of course Safari, are fine, if not a tad
slow.

I haven’t spoken to Apple yet about this as it initially involves a 3rd party
program and it’s easy to shift blame.

I’ve been considering moving to the iMac anyway but my husband likes it for the
monitor though he’s not a Mac fan…yet.

Any thoughts or processes would be hugely appreciated.
