Hello Zoe, If memory serves me well, the export option is usually to be found under the file menu.
While in quicktime with your file open, press vo+m to go to the application menu bar. Use vo+right & left arrows to move right or left through the application menu bar. Once you hear "file", press down arrow key to enter the choices under file and you should find export there. Listen carefully as voiceover announces the menu items and if it says "submenu" expand it with right arrow to see other options there.
