This came up before but I wanted to cite a source in case anyone was
curious what the stats were as far as the overall market and Apple. Note
that sales/shipments does not equal installed base. There are a couple
tables in the report and they are not marked up correctly so you'll have
to remember which column is with which faked header (the first table row).

To save you a bit of time, here are some Apple stats from the report:
Q4 2015 worldwide shipments 5.675M making them #5 after Lenovo, HP, Dell
and Asus with a 7.5% market share. Of the top 6 vendors who control
roughly 75% of the PC market, Apple was the only one to grow (2.8%)
while all others shrank for an overall market reduction of 8.3% compared
to the same quarter of 2014.
For the US the stats were similar with Apple selling 2.16M computers to
take the #3 spot after HP and Dell. Apple grew 6.5% in a PC market that
overall shrank 3.1% compared to the same quarter in 2014.
Estimated worldwide units for 2015 for Apple are 20.74M which would be
7.2% market share, putting them in the #5 spot after Lonovo, HP, Dell
and Asus. Apple is estimated to have 5.8% growth while all others
declined giving an overall market reduction of 8%.
