Doable, but I'd find someone sighted to do the work. I did my own Mac Mini, but the Pro is much tighter and there's a risk of breaking a cable. There are instructions online, and I know Crucial will let you match your Mac model on their site so you know you're getting the right ram. I think www.macmall.com does something similar, though the prices are higher. I'd find the ram type you need, then go to www.newegg.com and see if you can find it there at a better price. Obviously, this will void your warranty, but I'm guessing that's run out anyway. > On Apr 26, 2016, at 21:01, Dora Speck <dorasp...@gmail.com> wrote: > > Are their Camadians here that could tell me how much it would cost to upgrade > from 4 gb to 8 or 16 gb? > My Macbook's a pro 2012, and I've had it for 3 years now. > I don't have an Apple store on Vancouver Island, unfortunately! > Have a great day. > > Cheers, > > Dora Speck > > [Sent from my iPhone] > > -- > The following information is important for all members of the Mac Visionaries > list. > > If you have any questions or concerns about the running of this list, or if > you feel that a member's post is inappropriate, please contact the owners or > moderators directly rather than posting on the list itself. > > Your Mac Visionaries list moderator is Mark Taylor and your owner is Cara > Quinn - you can reach Cara at caraqu...@caraquinn.com > > The archives for this list can be searched at: > http://www.mail-archive.com/macvisionaries@googlegroups.com/ > --- > You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups > "MacVisionaries" group. > To unsubscribe from this group and stop receiving emails from it, send an > email to macvisionaries+unsubscr...@googlegroups.com. > To post to this group, send email to macvisionaries@googlegroups.com. > Visit this group at https://groups.google.com/group/macvisionaries. > For more options, visit https://groups.google.com/d/optout.
