I’ve used Uverse and my experiences mirror the others exactly. The TV wasn’t bad all be it sluggish between channels, the internet was much slower than the average available and the pricing was good until your deal ended and then the costs skyrocketed. Uverse uses fiber brought to a remote terminal in your neighborhood and then VDSL lines in to the houses using the existing copper plant.
This being said, they do have a gigabit option that’s slowly being rolled out across the country. That would solve the internet speed problem. Apps were accessible.
