So speaking of audio, another thing Apple could do is work on a new compression method that doesn’t sound like complete garbage. I didn’t realize how bad audio had gotten in recent years. I’ve been listening to this weaponized popular music lately that’s all digital, compressed and artificially bright anyway so I didn’t think much of it but I tried playing a recording of Andre Watts playing the Piano at Tangle Wood and it sounded like plastic mush. The equivalent of eating a big mac. It just had a hollow vibe to it, the space was wrong among other things. We’ve taken a big step backwards. I miss the old days of 44.1 kHz sampled 16bit CDs and I never thought I’d say that. It’s to bad to there are some really good lossless high bandwidth recording technologies out there and we’re definitely not using them.:(
