Never had this problem. My Cable is left plugged in to the wall and the end which plugs into the phone is left plugged in to my Cradle. If I do take it anywhere, one end is left in the cradle and the other is left in its plug so all I do is plug it straight in to the wall socket and thus far no problems. Never had a bad cable from the I phone 4 right to the Six S Plus. The only bad thing I had was my headphones that Apple supplied stopped working and got them replaced through Apple care.
