Hi Kimber, As far as I can tell, you're doing nothing wrong. That indeed is the right key combination. Other than Donna's good suggestion, I can only suggest that you ensure that TextEdit is actually selected by pressing VO-cmd-f5 and then making sure that all those keys are press simultaneously.
