In any case Christopher, I believe that my Imac problems lay in the fact that the guy I got to set it up, did it all wrong! ?surely , I need not sign in with my password every time my computer is wakened up. I've also aggirvated the situation Christopher by unplugging the Apple magic wireless keyboard and plugged in an apple usb keyboard without changing anything in settings. So it's all a bit of a mess and there is nobody here to assist apart from this list. So I'm beginning to loose the situation totally.
