Have you tried a good antenna or just the included rabbit ears or a cheap wall 
mount version?  

 

I got ahold of a bowtie antenna for something like 25 bucks and the difference 
was significant.  Digital signals are also easier to pick up, it’s either 
working or not.  Digital is great it’s either saturated or off, much simpler to 
deal with than analog signals.
