I have one of these on one of my computers and it a. Will not go away. b. Only shows as a small box when a sighted person looks at it. c. Does not appear to use any significant resources. d. Voice Over just says "image" when focused on the window.
The only thing I can suggest is to see if there is anything on google or the dropbox support sites.
