Don't hold your breath waiting for Apple to do this program with a Mac. People 
tend to keep their max for several years. The whole point of this program is to 
get people on board so they upgrade their iPhones as often or more often than 
they used to when carriers subsidized phones, and you could essentially get one 
every two years. It's also supposed to take the sting out of the high cost of 
the phone. You get to pay for it over time. I didn't use the Apple program. I 
used the one through T-Mobile. But they're fairly similar.
