Yeah, it's basically the same concept as digital touch on the Apple Watch.
They brought it to iOS now. Basically, it just quickly vibrates the other
person's device. It's kind of like a small little nudge just to get their
attention. I got it to work quite well on the watch, but I never quite
could figure out reliably on iOS how to get it to work, so I'd be curious if
someone could give specific instructions.
