Uh, it's checked on my end. How would that make it not work? If I uncheck
it, then check the time, Voiceover indeed is! incredibly slow. Once I check
it, it speaks at the same rate as my Voiceover. I'm just trying to help.

I just upgraded to Sierra.
Everything’s great, but when I do something like option-T to check the
time, Voiceover speaks very slowly. My usual rate is a lot faster, but
when I run some script to speak something, that voice is very slow. How
can I change this?
