Hi. I am a terrible sleeper. everything wakes me up, and I mean everything. Anyways, I found headphones to be too uncomfortable to sleep with, but, it's a personal preference thing and maybe you'd be fine.
I use earplugs instead and they do a pretty good job. I also use a white noise machine and that really does help a lot! Earplugs are a few dollars for many pairs and a decent white noise machine is around twenty dollars on amazon etc. Maybe give those things a try too... Cameron.
