Hi. As far as youtube goes, I'm still trying to figure out this cover song situation...
On one hand, people upload covers every day and the majority of them don't get taken down. They seem to be a great vehicle for exposure. On the other hand, they say well, if you put up a cover, you better have the license to do so, even if you won't be selling the track. But that can be hundreds or thousands of dollars. So what does one do? I don't want my account and/or channel taken down/erased but at the same time, I'm not sitting on a pile of money here either. Any thoughts? Cameron.
