There are plenty of ready-made solutions for publishing your audio file as a podcast. You should not have to generate the XML for yourself unless you’re planning to write all your own software for publishing. A web search on the topic will turn up all kinds of solutions, but accessibility is always the question. I’m publishing a couple of podcasts using WordPress with the Seriously Simple Podcasting plugin. Now admittedly mine are far from professional quality. I’m taking files off of a digital voice recorder, cleaning them up a little with Amadeus, then publishing them.
