Well, the Play 5's have line in, so you wouldn't totally be screwed. I get that
it would be more expensive. I never said it would be the most ideal, I only
said it still could be done.

I think it was the Airport Express that Sonos and others recommended to use
to bring Airplay audio into other setups by way of that line out jack it had. I
don't know that other routers have that.

Well I’m not sure it’s a real big deal. Granted I have, use and like the
airport routers a lot but they aren’t really that full featured. I personally
use a different router and use the airports as access points but I was just
starting to think it was getting long in the tooth and head in another
direction like a new TP Link AD router or Netgear model which have much much
more advanced WiFi features now.
They were good products though.
