I need to be able to find formatting characters in a text document and change or remove them. I’ve found that I can copy them to the clipboard and then paste them into the search and replace fields, but I wonder if there’s a better way. For example, I frequently want to change something Voiceover is calling “line separator” into “new line.” I think I will also have a need later today to change tab characters into spaces. Is there a way to enter these things into the search fields without having to first find one in the document and then paste it in?
