Make it not quite as light, and not as great at graphics, but I believe the education price is $299. I have seen a few school boards move from using iPads to using Chrome Books. Chromium appears to be at least as secure as IOS and one gets a keyboard bundled in albeit not a keyboard I enjoy typing on.
