Hello All,

Please join me in requesting that the Nike+ Run Club app be made more
VoiceOver accessible.

The direct link to the app in the U.S. app store is:

Please submit a review in the iTunes App Store, and/or submit feedback via
Nike's feedback form located at:

or by either tweeting or sending a direct message to: @NikeSupport.

The following is the Twitter direct message and App Store review I
submitted. Feel free to use any or all of it in your comments:

[BEGIN REQUEST]:
Subject:
Please Increase iOS Nike+ Run Club App Screen Reader Accessibility for the
Blind and Low Vision

Hello,

I fervently request that the developers add better iOS VoiceOver support for
the blind and low vision.

Currently, many of the Nike+ Run Club app's buttons and tabs cannot be
accessed when VoiceOver, Apple's software screen reading solution for the
blind and low vision, is enabled. For example, the workout Start button,
among many others, is not labeled for VoiceOver. This means that all a
visually impaired user hears, when focused is placed on the item, is the
word "button". This is not useful as the user has no idea as to what
feature will be accessed by activating the item. Also, one cannot actually
stop a workout session when VoiceOver is enabled. Further, none of the app
navigation tabs, located near the bottom of the display, is VoiceOver
accessible. This means that a user cannot access, for example, her/his
workout history.

In a world in which sedentary behavior is the norm, it is extremely
important that the blind and low vision, along with our sighted
counterparts, has access to outstanding workout resources such as the Nike+
Run Club iOS App.

Thank you for considering my request,
[END REQUEST]:

The following is my tweet on this matter:

#VisuallyImpaired. Join me N asking @NikeSupport to restore it ASAP.
[END TWEET]:

Thank you all for your support on this.
