Totally agree with you. that’s  nott that  bad. I have a  5.1 sound system that 
 cost more than those $700 book shelfs. They are about $3500 .   also have a 
Samsung oled which I paid about $6500 back in the day.

Well, to be interesting, this speaker is going to have to sound a whole hell of 
a lot better than anything Amazon has produced. That doesn't sound all that 
great. I'm looking at this as a sort of a replacement for a regular stereo 
system in a room that's not too large. $700 were really nice stereo pair of 
bookshelf speakers isn't all that awful. Think about the higher and bookshelf 
speakers like BMW. Or other high-end makers of speakers. If these are in that 
class, then that's a whole different thing than what you get from something 
like the echo, which sells for about half the price I guess, but isn't all that 
special. It's also not all that smart, and the skills are, in my opinion, a 
pain in the butt, because they are very reliant on the Alexa app, plus you have 
to actually find them. It's not intuitive. So Apple could do something good. 
But will they?
